“In the Forest” at The Arow Loft featuring Sir Jove and the UR2.
One of Chicago’s rising acts, Sir Jove brings the raw energy of the galaxies right down to E(Art)h. His style, persona, and charisma are indescribable and can only be truly understood once you see him perform live with the UR2.
Check out Sir Jove’s out-of-this-world sounds here.
His electric glitter will make a believer out of you.

Album: The Disintegration Loops (2002)Artist: William Basinksi
Video: “d|p 1.1” by William Basinski from The Disentegration Loops (2002)
When William Basinksi began feeding his old, looped tape creations through his digital tape reader, he was simply salvaging something sacred, immortalizing a piece in the digital eternity. But as the ferrite powder began crumbling off of the plastic analog tape, the sound of the loop he was feeding began to crackle, began to obscure, began to disintegrate. Here was an original piece that, over time, began adorning the blemishes and garnishes of its own inevitable demise.
This particular loop, the one posted above, was the first to meet this fate, the one that seems to have killed itself, the one that showed Basinski the Truth of his he(art). It was this loop that he chose to soundtrack the film he made from his roof, during the final hour of sunlight on September 11, 2001, the camera stilled on the image of smoke billowing out of what once was the World Trade Center in New York City.

L(if)e is loops is circles is cycles.
And in those cycles, all things are divine.
And UR2.
